Byron C. Moon, age 72, formerly of Pennington Street, Oakland, died on Wednesday, February 16 at a hospital in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
A native of Garrett County, he was born on November 24, 1904, and was the son of the late Asa G. and Ada C. (Baltz) Moon. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy M. (Duckworth) Moon in August of 1970.
He was a retired electrical maintenance man and was a member of the Gormania Presbyterian Church.
He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Ida Durbin, Oakland, and Mrs. Barbara Bentsen, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada; one sister, Mrs. Evelyn Brock, Rochester, N.Y.; two brothers, Harold Moon, Everett, Washington and Louis Moon, Rochester, N.Y. and five grandsons.
Funeral services and cremation took place in Canada. A memorial service will be conducted at the Stewart Funeral Home in Oakland at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 2, with Pastor Richard A. Seaks officiating.
