Wilma went to be with her Lord on March 7, 2001 at the age of eighty-four years.
On June 4, 1937 Wilma was united in marriage with William Lanser. To this union three children were born: Gary Vern, Lola Kay, and Robert Wayne. The family farmed on the Lanser family farm north of Sully for twenty-three years. In 1960 Bill and Wilma moved in to Sully where they operated the Sully Café for five years.Bill and Wilma started a Sears Catalog Merchandise Store at 608 Franklin Street in Pella. They continued in the store operation for the next ten years.
Bill and Wilma were members of the Christian Reformed Church in Sully, Iowa. In 1969 they transferred their membership to the Faith Christian Reformed Church in Pella
