A memorial service for Everett S. Hopper Sr. of Union City, a retired chemist with the Coca-Cola Co. who supervised the central laboratory of beverage quality control in Atlanta, will be at 11:30 Friday at Kirk of the Corners Christian Church in Norcross.
Mr. Hopper, 81, died of heart failure Monday at LaFayette Nursing Home in Fayetteville. The body was donated to Emory University.
Surviving are his wife, Margaret Mitchell Hopper; two sons, Calvin Hopper of Oak Ridge, Tenn., and E. S. Hopper Jr. of Conyers; a daughter, Ida-Anne Clarke of Decatur; two brothers, Ivan T. Hopper and J. Victor Hopper, both of Quincy, Ill.; nine grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
