Richard B. Stock, 57, of North 16th, Niles, Michigan died at 11:08 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2008, at Lakeland Community Hospital in Niles, suddenly, but of natural causes.
He was born on July 15, 1951, in Fostoria, Ohio, to Elmer Stock and Alma Higley Stock. He has lived in Niles since 1964, coming from Fostoria, Ohio, where he graduated from Fostoria High School.
He was a former employee of Kool-O-Matic in Niles. He volunteered his time to many people by fixing things and helping transport items. He enjoyed detailing cars.
On Nov. 14, 1972, in Fostoria, Ohio, he married Jacqueline Jaynes, who survives. Additional surviving family includes a son, Rick Stock of Niles; a daughter, Katherine (Todd) Smith of Niles; granddaughters, Brittany Rogers,, Ashley Smith and Elizabeth; two brothers, William (Mary) Stock of Fostoria, Ohio and Charles (Deborah) Stock of Old Fort, Ohio and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 2, at Halbritter Funeral Home, Niles, with Pastor Terry D. White of Beacon Baptist Church officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to services at the funeral home on Sunday.
Memorials may be made to the Shriner's Hospital for Children, Chicago, Ill.
