Mrs. Mollie Veatch, widow of the late J. Warner Veatch, died Monday evening at Cullers Hospital. She had been seriously ill for a year.

The body was removed to the Davis-Blackmore Funeral home where funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday. Burial will be in the family lot in Maple Grove cemetery. Mrs. Veatch was a member of the First Baptist Church at Trenton, and of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxilliary.

She was born Oct. 12, 1889, in Grundy county a daughter of Scott and Susan Proctor Russell. In 1908 she was married at Trenton to J. Warner Veatch who died in January, 1952.

Mr. and Mrs. Veatch lived on a farm east of Trenton until 20 years ago when they moved to Trenton. Mr. Veatch was engaged in the trucking business and served on the police force.

They were the parents of eight children, seven of whom survive. A daughter, Velma, died in infancy.

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Roy Robertson of Le Claire, Ia., Mrs. Arthur Wilson of El Monte, Calif., and Mrs. C.S. Schliesman, of Portland, Ore.; four sons, Russell Veatch of Des Moines, Floyd Veatch of Trenton, G.W. Veatch of Australia, and Glen Earl Veatch of Le Claire, Ia.

She is also survived by 21 grandchildren, two great-granddaughters, her mother, Mrs. Susan Russell of Tindall; nine brothers, Guy Russell of Tindall, Ott Russell, Alton, Ill., Hugh, George and Brook Russell, Emporia, Kan., Charles Russell of Topeka, Kan., Paul Russell of Hawthorne, Calif., John Russell of Manhattan, Kan., and Poe Russell of Polsen, Mont.; and one sister, Mrs. Rex Duke of Rosenburg, Texas
