William "Bill" Alexander, Jr., age 74, of the Folsomdale community, died at 11:20 Tuesday, September 30, 2014 at his residence. Bill was a member of Liberty Baptist Church and was a retired electronics technician from Sprint telephone services and formerly worked locally for Tel-Service in Kevil, Kentucky.
Surviving Bill are his wife, Margaret Burcham Alexander of Folsomdale; sons Jeffrey (Kelly) Alexander of Lowes and Timothy (Brenda) Alexander of Cross City, Florida; brother Richard Alexander of Hickory, Kentucky; sister Anna Laura Drury of Lone Oak, Kentucky; grandchildren Todd (Lisa) Alexander of Hickory; Matthew Alexander of Kansas; and Ashton Alexander of Cross City; and a great grandchild, Sean Alexander of Hickory.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, William F. and Minnie Elzora Young Alexander.
Funeral services for Bill will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, October 3 at the Liberty Baptist Church with Rev. Wayne Berry officiating. Burial will follow in the Liberty Church Cemetery. Friends are invited to call at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 2 at the Brown Funeral Home in Mayfield.
The body will lie in state at the Liberty Baptist Church from 12:00 on Friday until the funeral hour at 2:00 p.m.
