Nita VoyAnn Jones, 55, most recently of Williston, North Dakota, passed away at her home, surrounded by her family, on Sunday afternoon, September 28, 2014.


VoyAnn was born on July 10th, 1959 in Boise, Idaho, to Blaine and Nita Jemmett. She is the fourth of six siblings; Rulon Jemmett, Kathy Fisher, Fred Jemmett, Valene Ransom, and Joe Jemmett.



She lived a life dedicated to serving others. She was a volunteer paramedic and firefighter, wild land firefighter, Red Cross Disaster Relief volunteer, Certified Nursefs Assistant, and a CPR instructor. She loved to travel, but always loved the Oregon coast.



She was diagnosed with colon cancer in December of 2013, and bravely fought until the cancer took her away from her loved ones.



She is preceded in death by her parents, Blaine and Nita Jemmett and a step-son, Johnathan Jones. She is survived by her husband, Paul Jones of Williston, ND, and her children Kimberly Banner, Jeffery Banner, Jason Banner, Andrea Banner, and Stacie Banner. She had four step sons, Johnathan Jones, Joshua Jones, Jordan Jones, and Jared Jones. She also leaves behind eight grandchildren.

A family burial will be held at the Hermiston Cemetery, Hermiston, Oregon.
