She was born Sept. 6, 1920, in Huntington, W.Va., a daughter of the late Burt and Martha Waldschmidt Reger.
She was a graduate of Parkersburg High School, graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Ohio Wesleyan University, and received a Masters degree in library science from Case Reserve University.
During World War II where her husband was stationed, she was briefly a librarian at Wilmington, Delaware Public Library and Nashville, Tenn. On her return to Parkersburg, she was a teacher and librarian at Parkersburg Junior High School, and in later years a librarian at Davis Memorial Library, Marietta College.
She was a member of several community boards and was a past president of the Junior League of Parkersburg. She was an active member of the First United Methodist Church and later a member of Trinity Episcopal Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Abbott Frost; and her sister, Lois Reger Hock. She is survived by her daughters, Judith Woodford (Alan) and Sarah "Sally" Delli-Gatti (Mark). She is also survived by five grandchildren, Matthew and Ann Woodford, Brian, Jeffrey and Mark Delli-Gatti; and eight great-grandchildren, Madison, Roan, Ava, Cade, Sophia, and Noah Delli-Gatti, and Zoe and Mia Woodford.
There will be no visitation and a private family celebration will be held at a later date.
Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg, is assisting the family with arrangements.
