Billy Farrell Killingsworth 1942 - 2014
Billy Farrell Killingsworth passed away September 29, 2014 at age 72. Born in Victoria Alabama, he lived 50 years in Pensacola, FL. Farrell graduated high school from New Brockton in 1960, received his Bachelor of Science in Entomology from Auburn University and his Master in Entomology from the University of Florida thereafter. He received a commission from the Army Corps of Engineers Health Corps specializing in mosquitoes in Austin, TX where he enjoyed developing new methods of mosquito survey and control. Farrell co-founded Killingsworth Pest Control in 1968. Killingsworth Pest Control served customers in Mobile and Baldwin Alabama and Northwest Florida from Pensacola to Panama City. His entomology experience took him to the Caribbean for mosquito control where he continued to love to travel for many years.Farrell was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Beard Killingsworth and his parents JR and Eunice Killingsworth. He is survived by his sisters; Sue Folsom (Pat), Teresa Maddox (Frank) and his brother Randell Killingsworth (Becky). Farrell was married to Cynthia Killingsworth for 23 years and they have five children: Daniel (Amy), Clifford (Kelcey), Clint (Jeanne), Kathryn (Rodney), and Walter (Renee). Farrell also leaves behind a loved step-son Mitchell Beard (Janet) and many grandchildren.Farrell's family would like to thank the staff at Creekside Senior Village for their tireless care and friendship. Visitation starts at noon Saturday, October 4, 2014 at Faith Chapel Funeral Home in Cantonment Florida. Memorial services will be held at 2 pm.
