Ryan Eugene Young, 36 years of age, of Wymore passed away unexpectedly Saturday morning, September 20, 2014. He was born on July 12, 1978 in Beatrice, NE to Raymond and Diane (Rohr) Young. Ryan was baptized on August 27, 1978 at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Beatrice and was confirmed on May 2, 1993 at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Wymore. He attended St. Paul Lutheran School in Beatrice until the age of 9 years when he and his family moved to Blue Springs. He attended Blue Springs Elementary School and Wymore High School. While in grade school he enjoyed participating in the Little Kids Wrestling program.
After high school, Ryan worked at TO Haas and Spady Runcie in Beatrice, Tony's Machine in Marysville, KS, Sutton Repair in Odell, and recently at Sears in Beatrice. Ryan's hobbies included watching football (especially Nebraska and DA Bears), NASCAR racing and attending races throughout the surrounding area. He was an avid fan of Dale Earnhart Sr and Dale Earnhart Jr. He had a great passion for cars, trucks, and anything else with a motor. His greatest love and joy were his two children.
Ryan will be dearly missed by his children Addison and Jaxson Young and their mother and dear friend Jessie Meyer; parents Ray Young and wife Lin of NE and Diane Sutton and husband Richard; special friend Michelle Ullman and her children Sadee and Brody; grandmother Marie Rohr; sisters Jamie Young and family and fiance Craig Demkey and their two sons, NE, Cindy Young and family of TX, Stacey Ward and husband Todd and family,Ill., and Bobbie Young and family, Ill.; brother Spencer Sutton and wife Kristie and familyl; sisters Amanda Svoboda and husband Darrin and family, KS, Jennifer Downard, KS, and Emily Wassenberg and husband Matt and daughter, KS; brothers Lance Swartz and family, NE, and Jeremy Swartz and family, NE; and special niece Melissa Carlson and husband Shawn and family, NE. Ryan was preceded in death by his beloved sister, Tammy Snyder and her husband, Kevin; by his grandparents, Victor Rohr, Eugene Young, Irene (Young) Clark and her husband, George.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, September 25, 2014 at the Church of Christ in Wymore with Clayton Lundstedt officiating. Interment will be in the Blue Springs Cemetery. A memorial has been established for Addison and Jaxson Young with the funeral home in charge.
