He married Stella Bistadau in Fargo, North Dakota She preceded him in death.
He later married Geraldine Davis.
He is survived by several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by six brothers, Maurice, Harry, Mitchell, Lee Clifton, Carlisle and Sylvester Kelly.
He served in the military during WW II.
