Nellie Faye Buckland Ford, 78 of Fayetteville, passed away on Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at the Bowers Hospice House in Beckley following an extended illness.
Nellie was born on April 22, 1936 at Boomer, West Virginia; a daughter to the late Norman and Ethel Simms Buckland.[Norman Buckland and Ethel Simms 24 Dec 1931 Fayette County WV Marriage Record]
She was a graduate from Fayetteville High School and retired from the United States Department of Defense in Washington, D.C.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by brothers, Marshall and Clifford Buckland; sisters, Louise Sodder and Ruby Ford.
Survivors include a much loved grandson, Timothy Tozer, who resided with and cared for her; children, James Bryson of Millville, NJ, and Donna Bryson of NW Calhoun, GA; siblings, Jeff Buckland (Drema), Lois Wood (Ebbie) of Fayetteville, Nora Cummings of Phoenix, AZ, James Buckland of TN, Donna Gramlich (Butch), and brother-in-law, Paul Ford of Millville, NJ; three granddaughters, one great granddaughter, and a host of loving nieces and nephews also survive her.
In keeping with Nellie’s final wishes there will be no visitation or funeral services.
She will be laid to rest at High Lawn Memorial Park in Oak Hill, WV.
