Doris Turner "Dot" Constan, 84, of Spartanburg, SC, died Thursday, October 2, 2014, at her home. Born February 19, 1930, in Raleigh, NC and reared in Spartanburg, SC, she was the daughter of the late Wilfred Otts Turner and Mozelle Randall Turner, and widow of Theophilus "Theo" Nicholas Constan.

Mrs. Constan was a member of St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church and the Ladies Philoptochos Society. She was also a volunteer for many local charities.

Surviving is her daughter, Melissa C. Simmons (Kenneth) of Jacksonville, FL; son, Nicholas Paul Constan of Spartanburg; granddaughter, Kathryn Anna Simmons of Jacksonville, FL; and sister, Betty Wood (Billy) of Spartanburg, SC. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a brother, Paul "Bud" Turner.

Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Friday, October 3, 2014, at Floyd's North Church Street Chapel, 235 N. Church St., Spartanburg, SC 29306, with a Trisagion Prayer Service at 7:30 PM. Funeral services will be conducted at 4:00 PM Saturday, October 4, 2014, at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, 697 Asheville Hwy, Spartanburg, SC 29303, by the Rev. George F. Nayfa. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gentiva Hospice, 905 East Main Street Suite 1, Spartanburg, SC 29302; or St. Nicholas Outreach Ministry Fund, PO Box 1107, Spartanburg, SC 29307.
