Baby boy Jon M. Bradley Jr., 2 1/2 weeks, of the 100 block of Dahlgren Ave., died Oct. 25, 1998, at Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters in Norfolk.

Jon M. Bradley Jr. was born in Norfolk on Oct. 7, 1998. He was a strong child for the first time he was here until one day, things took a turn for the worst. The doctors didn't expect him to be here this long, but he struggled long enough to let his mother and father get to know him.

Jon is survived by his mother, Latisha Blount, and father, Jon M. Bradley Sr., both of Portsmouth; maternal grandmother, Joyce Blount; paternal grandmother, Virginia Bradley; maternal grandfather, James Clements Sr.; and paternal grandfather, Morris Cooper. There are many other survivors, including great-grandmothers Rosa Blount, Myrtle Gray and Jewel Powell, and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

A graveside service will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. today at Lincoln Memorial Cemetery, Portsmouth, by the Rev. Milton Blount. Family and friends will assemble at 3 p.m. at 2410 Turnpike Road for the procession. Corprew Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
