Arlie Hubert Armstrong, 85, of Silver Spring, Md., and a native of Augusta County died Tues. at Greater Laurel (Md) Nursing Home.
Mr. Armstrong, who had been ill five years, was born April 14, 1899, at Mount Solon and was a son of the late William H. and Cora Todd Armstrong.
He was a farmer and a member of Emmanuel Church of the Brethren.
On Oct. 28, 1925, he married the former Minnie Wease, who died Oct. 19, 1965.
Surviving are two daughters, Rosalyn Armstrong of Silver Spring, Md., and Doris Jean Rochinski of Tacoma Park, Md.; three sisters, Lula Crickenberger and Corinne Lee, both of Hyattsville, Md., and Georgia Armstrong of Bladensburg, Md.; two brothers, Bryan Armstrong of Harrisonburg and Joe Armstrong of Staunton; a grandchild; and four great-grandchildren.
The Funeral will be conducted 11 a.m. Friday at the McMullen Bridgewater Funeral Home by the Rev. Dean Fawley. Burial will be in Emmanuel Church of the Brethren Cemetery.
