Hathale Ancill Cushnie Passed away on July 26, 2004 in Redding, CA at the age of 90. She was born February 19, 1914 to Harold and Martha Ancill in Honolulu. After graduating from McKinley High School in 1932, she attended College of the Pacific in Stockton, CA where she earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Physical Education. In 1939 Hathale married Robert A. Cushnie of Pahala. In 1945 they moved to Ewa Plantation where Robert worked for 25 years, the last six years as Assistant Manager. They had four sons Harold, Jay, Larry and Robert Jr. and one daughter Martha Jean who died in infancy. When Ewa Plantation closed in 1970 they moved to Lanai where they lived until 1986. After moving to Santa Rosa, CA in 1986, Robert passed away. Hathale remained in Santa Rosa until 1998 when she moved to Redding, CA. Hathale was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Caryol Ancill Griffin, her husband Robert and sons Harold and Larry. She is survived by her sons Jay of Redding,CA and Robert of Haiku, Hawaii, grandchildren Harold Cushnie, Jr., Shauna Davis, Laurel Cushnie, Larry Cushnie, Ross Cushnie and great grandchildren A.J. Boynton, Hallie Davis and Bowdy Davis.
