Virginia Gertrude Ferris of Denver, a homemaker and piano teacher, died on 7 April 1995 at the age of 97. She was born on 1 June 1897 in Archer, Nebraska, the daughter of E. T Sullivan and Mable Bartlett. She was united in marriage with Lisle William Ferris on 23 August, 1916. Raised to appreciate music, she was a piano teacher for many years and taught a great number of students. She was a member of the Fairview United Methodist Church of rural Merrick County, Nebraska for 77 years. She also attended University Park United Methodist Church. She was also a member of PEO and the Mu Phi Epsilon Music Fraternity.
She is survived by a son, Edward Lislynn Ferris of Nebraska; and a daughter, Greta Lea Ferris Johnson, Littleton; 5 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
