Leon Jaeger, age 79, passed away on September 30, 2014.

Born August 13, 1935 in Salt Lake City to Edwin and Olive Goodsell Jaeger (and special mother, Dorothy Murphy).

Married Joyce Bluemel on January 30, 1957 in the Salt Lake Temple.

After graduating from South High School, he served his country proudly in the U.S. Army Reserve.

He was an engineer for Hill Air Force Base and attended the University of Utah.

Leon was active in the Boy Scouts of America earning the Silver Beaver Award.

He enjoyed working many hours compiling family histories.

Survived by his wife of fifty-seven years, Joyce; children, Melissa (Richard), Randy (Lorraine), Victor (Mary), Susan, and Deborah (Phillip);eleven grandchildren; six great-granddaughters; brother, Raymond: and sister, Colleen. Preceded in death by his parents and sister, Elaine.

Our family would like to thank Inspiration Hospice, with special consideration to Sara, Elsie, and Nikki.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 4, 2014 in the Kearns Fourth Ward Chapel, 4232 West 5015 South, Kearns. Viewings will be held on Friday, October 3, 2014 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Redwood Memorial Estates Mortuary, 6500 South Redwood Road (1700 West), Taylorsville, and one hour prior to the services at the church on Saturday.
Interment will follow in the Redwood Memorial Estates Cemetery.
