Roland E. Williams, 84, of North, died Wednesday, October 1, 2014.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 4, 2014 at Bull Swamp Baptist Church with Rev. Chuck Wells officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The casket will be placed in the church one hour before the funeral.
Mr. Williams was born in Orangeburg County, a son of the late Olin and Beulah Williams. He was a member of Bull Swamp Baptist Church and is a veteran of the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife, Polly I. Williams of the home; a daughter, Susan (Joe) Gleaton; three grandchildren, Neal Brown, Allen Dantzler and Eddie Dantzler and two sisters, Margaret Carr and Ollie Herron. He was predeceased by siblings, John, Wilton, David, Ben, Lucia and Cora Lee.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. at the church before the funeral and other times at the home, 412 Pond Bluff Road, North, SC.. Culler-McAlhany Funeral Home in North (www.mcalhanyfuneralhome.com) is in charge of arrangements.
