Mrs. Dr. Nicholas (Pauline) Jelles of Grand Rapids, Mich., Earl N. and Willard Ver Meer both of Pella. Also surviving are 5 grandchildren and a sister Roelena, Mrs. J.G. Vanden Bosch and a brother, Paul Ver Meer of Pella.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Mrs. Neal (Nettie) Huyser, two brothers, William and Bert Ver Meer and a sister who died in infancy.
Profession of his faith was made in the First Christian Reformed church in Pella where he was a member at the time of his passing. Throughout these years he took an active interest in his church, serving as elder and deacon and in active participation of Sunday school activities.
Funeral services were conducted on Saturday , October 15, by Dr. P.Y. De Jong. The family met at the chapel of the VanDyk-Duven Funeral Home for a prayer service preceding the 1:30 service held at the First Christian Reformed church. Mrs. Gysbert Ver Meer accompanied Mr. Edward Vander Weele as he sang two numbers.
Casket bearers were Henry B. Ver Meer, Ralph J. Ver Meer, Raymond Gosselink, Arthur Huyser, Harold Ver Meer and Arnold Bogaard. Burial was made in Oakwood cemetery at Pella.
