Funeral services for Judy Gayle McMillian Holman, 67, Tyler, are scheduled for noon Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2014, at Greater St. Mary Baptist Church with Dr. M.K. Mast eulogist.

Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery, Tyler, under direction of Brook-Sterling & Garrett Funeral Directions, Tyler.

Born Nov. 26, 1946, in Tyler, Mrs. Holman died Sept. 26, 2014, in Tyler.

She was a graduate of Emmett J. Scott High School, Prairie View A&M, East Texas State University Commerce and The University of Texas at Tyler. She was a lifelong resident of Smith County, a member of Greater St. Mary Baptist Church, Tyler Council of Church Women, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Women Mission and Gospel Choir. She was a retired educator.

She was preceded in death by her father, Harry McMillian; and grandmother, Lois Jackson Porter.

Survivors include her husband, Joe Holman; son Braxton Holman [Felisa];daughters, Sonia Williams [Robbie] and Jonique Morris; mother, Florida Jackson McMillian; brothers, Tony McMillian, Raymond Davis [Dorothy]; sister, Harrilyn McMillian; and grandchildren, Remi Taylor, Kobe Morris and Destiny Williams.

Viewing will be from noon to 8 p.m. Tuesday with a Delta Sigma Theta Omega Omega service at 7 p.m.
