Grada Van Gorp, daughter of Marinus Van Gorp and Gertrude van Roekel was born on the eighteenth day of September in the year 1876. After a long and lingering illness she passed away at her home In Pella, Sunday, December 23, 1951 at the age of 75 years, 3 months and 5 days.
She was united in marriage to Gommert Kloosterman on January 26, 1898. To this union four children were born all of whom survive except one daughter who passed away in infancy.
She leaves to mourn her death her husband, one son Cornelius Kloosterman, two daughters, Minnie, Mrs. Isaac Hoksbergen and Dena, Mrs. Anthony D. Ver Meer, eleven grandchildren and five great- grandchildren. She also leaves one sister, Mrs. C.A. Van Gorp and Gerrit M. Van Gorp. Also her aged step mother, Mrs. M. Van Gorp.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and one sister.
Mrs. Kloosterman was a faithful member of the Second Christian Reformed Church.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, December 26, 1951 at 1p.m. from the Van Dyk funeral Home and at 1:30p.m. from the Second Christian Reformed Church with Rev. H. Vander Kam officiating. Interment was in the Oakwood Cemetery.
