William "Bill" Bishop, age 92, of Wilmington, DE, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, September 26, 2014 surrounded by his family.
Bill was "head of the horses." He enjoyed going to the casinos in Atlantic City with his wife. He also loved to watch the horse races at Delaware Park. Most of all, Bill enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He is survived by his nephew, Howard Riley; niece, Donna Ouellette; grandchildren: Seleena Matos-Burgos, William "Jason" Bishop, and Gina Nicole Atencia; and numerous great and great- great -grandchildren. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, John Joseph Bishop and Edith C. Heal; loving wife, Kathleen C. Bishop; daughter, Jeannie Bishop; and granddaughter, Tina Maria Carroll.
A visitation will be held from 10-11 AM on Friday, October 3, 2014 in the Strano & Feeley Family Funeral Home, 635 Churchmans Road, Newark, DE 19702 followed by a memorial service in celebration of Bill's life at 11 AM. Inurnment will be in Riverview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the funeral home for funeral expenses.
