Lizzie Best Rudd Johnson was born June 14, 1922 in Waskom, Texas to the parentage of the late Robert Rudd and L.S Rudd. She attended school in Shreveport, Louisiana. She attended Changing Life Gospel Ministries, under the leadership of Pastor Broderick Lowe, Sr.

She retired from Fishburn Cleaners. We will also lovingly remember Mother Johnson for her keen fashion and high style. Mother was the epitome of grace, beauty and style when she would arrive at any occasion.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Dorothy Jackson, Lennie Crawford, Fannie Wright, Cleo Reeves, Vera Mae Hawkins. Her brothers, Payton Rudd, James Rudd. W.K Rudd, John Rudd, Howard Rudd and stepdaughter, Lula Mae Jackson (Obell); stepson, Bryan Keith Stephens.

She leaves to cherish her memories; daughters, Betty Johnson Edmun “Jewell” and Rosa Barnes-Evans “Allen”; sister, Velma Walter “Nathaniel” ; 9 grandkids, 17 great grandkids, 10 great great grandkids and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.
