DOUGLAS M. STOWE, age 72, of Troy passed away on Tuesday, September 30, 2014 at his residence. He was born in Dayton on June 13, 1942 to the late Paul M. and Margaret B. (Romine) Stowe. In 1971, he married Linda K. Mason and was blessed to have just celebrated 43 years of marriage. She survives. In addition to his wife, Douglas is survived by one daughter and son-in-law: Heather and Eric Gates of Troy; one son: Mark Stowe of Troy; one sister and brother-in-law: Sandee and Ross Holmen of Albuquerque, NM; and two grandchildren: Mason and Ella Gates. Douglas was a graduate of Colonel White High School in Dayton. He attended Ginghamsburg Church. Douglas proudly served his country as a member of the US Air Force for four years. He retired from ITW Food Equipment Group with over 40 years of service. Douglas loved baseball and particularly the Reds. He was a car enthusiast and enjoyed going to Cruise Ins. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00PM on Friday, October 3, 2014 at the Baird Funeral Home, Troy. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 7:00PM on Friday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Donor's favorite charity. A private interment will be held in Riverside Cemetery in Troy at the convenience of the family.
