Sandra Jean Benson peacefully returned to her Heavenly Father's arms on September 26, 2014 with her family at her side.

Her journey began on August 10, 1947 and was blessed with loving parents, Ralph and Lorene Benson, family, and friends.

Sandra's journey was not an easy one and was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis at the age of twenty. She endured each one of her trials and disabilities with courage and taught all those around her what it meant to endure and love unconditionally.

She had an instant love for those that crossed her path and always insisted on getting your picture. She enjoyed spending time at the cabin and camping with her family. Those who had the blessing of her sweet spirit in their lives will forever be blessed.

Sandra is survived by her sister, Janice (Alan) Heywood; brother, Craig (Teresa) Benson; three nieces; two nephews; and extended family. Preceded in death by her parents; sister, Sharon; and brother, Steven.

Special thanks to the loving staff at Hillcrest Care Center for their love and tender care for Sandra. This was truly "Home" for Sandra.

A viewing will be held in her honor from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 South State Street (100 East), Murray.
