He retired from Tulsa Public Schools, Central High School in 1983 after teaching for 20 years. After his retirement he enjoyed working on the 15 acres growing gardens, trading for junk, fishing and spending time with family. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Billie, brother Glenn and daughter Leanne. Graveside services were held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 1, 2014 in Wagoner, at the Elmwood-Bennett Cemetery with Reverend Mark Pointer officiating.
