Died, at his home north of this city Friday last Peter Bird, aged 80 years.
The deceased came here in 1866 from Indiana and purchased the farm lying just north of town, and has lived here until his death.
His aged wife and seven children survive him.
Mr. Bird was a kind and accommodating neighbor, and scrupulously honest in the discharge of his business obligations.
The burial took place on Saturday at the Masonic cemetery. To the aged wife especially do we extend sympathy.
