Brown, Bernie W. Jr., Age 85, Shawano, died on Monday Aug 3, 2009. He married Irene Lecus in Milwaukee. He worked for Teledyne Wisconsin Motors, Milwaukee for 35 years. Survived by 6 children, Ricky (Florence) Brown, Mosinee, Terry Brown, Cambridge, Joy Brown, Sullivan, Colleen (Bob) Kroll, Milwaukee, Randy (Laurie) Brown, FL, and Janice (Tim) Faubel, Shawano; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Bernice and Ada (Don), all of Milwaukee. Funeral services are 2PM Saturday, Aug. 8, at Swedberg Funeral Home, Shawano. Visitation at the funeral home after 11AM on Saturday.

Bernie W. Brown, Jr., age 85, of Embarrass, died on Monday, Aug. 3, 2009 at his home.

Born on Nov. 22, 1923 in Jasper, Iowa, he was the son of the late Bernie W. and Inez (Bates) Brown, Sr. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. On Jan. 25, 1943 he married Irene Lecus in Milwaukee. Bernie worked for Teledyne Wisconsin Motors in Milwaukee for 35 years. He enjoyed eating lunch at the Senior Center in Clintonville every day, bowling and long car rides with his wife. Irene preceded him in death on June 1, 2003.

Bernie is survived by: six children, Ricky (Florence) Brown of Mosinee, Terry Brown of Cambridge, Joy (Gary) Brown of Sullivan, Colleen (Bob) Kroll of Milwaukee, Randy (Laurie) Brown of Fla., Janice (Tim) Faubel of Shawano; eighteen grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Bernice and Ada (Don) all of Milwaukee.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Irene, his parents, a son Brian and five brothers.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 8, at the Swedberg Funeral Home, Shawano, with Deacon Charles Daily officiating. Military rites will be conducted by the Shawano American Legion Post 117 at the funeral home following the service. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 11 a.m. until the time of the service.
