George W. Pruitt Dead.
Passed Away At Main Street Home Tuesday Morning.

George W. Pruitt, a well-known and highly respected citizen of this city died at his home on Lower Main Street at an early hour Tuesday morning. The deceased who was born in Worcester county came to Crisfield when a young man and has since resided in this city.

He was 59 years of age and had been suffering with tuberculosis for a number of years and for several months past had been confined to his home, gradually giving away to the ravages of this dread disease, until the end came on Tuesday.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, Mr. Marion Pruitt, of Baltimore; and two daughters, Misses Alda and Margaret Pruitt, of this city. Funeral services were held at Mainers M.P. Church, Thursday afternoon, conducted by the pastor, Rev. I.S. Owens. Interment was in Mariners Cemetery.
