LAURA VIRGINIA HYNEMAN STRICKLAND, 94, of Friendswood, TX passed away on Monday, September 29, 2014. She was born on August 2, 1920 to Henry Hyneman and Cora Mae Brice Hyneman in Acton, TN. She married Henry Daniel Strickland in August 1939, together they had 2 daughters.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
Laura is survived by her daughters, Charlotte Ann Melton and husband Marvin, and Annette Coleman; grandchildren, Sherry Noell and husband Peter, Jim Melton and wife Marianne, Gwyneth Ortiz and husband Gabrielle, Laura Vail and husband Mark, and Darryl Baskind and wife Tammy; great-grandchildren, Jaclyn Noell, Daniel Noell, Krista Melton, Collin Melton, Christina Ortiz, Justin Vail, Dylan Vail, Michael Ortiz, Tyler Baskind and Daylyn Baskind; and many other relatives and cherished friends.
