Donald Ray Chesser, 86, of Norman, was born February 13, 1928 in Norman to Maud Sellers and James Morgan Chesser. He died Saturday, September 27, 2014 in Norman.

Drafted at the age of 19, Don served in the United States Army as a military police officer. He went to work for the FAA as an electronic technician. Don was a proud member of the American Legion and the Fraternal Order of Police. He enjoyed being a member of the Golden Okies Band. A very special part of Don's life was the time he spent ministering to those in prison.

Preceding Don in death were his wife, Aubre Jean Chesser, parents Maud Sellers and James Morgan Chesser, daughter-in-law, Esther Chesser and great-great-grandson, Haden Chesser.

He is survived by his wife, Alleen Watt Chesser, son, Donald Gene Chesser, daughter, Christy Lucas and husband Gary, grandchildren, Tye Nipper, Traye Chesser and wife Darlene, Melissa Wilbanks and husband Willy and Brian Chesser, five great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

Services for will be 2:00 p.m. today at Primrose Chapel with burial to follow at Blackburn Cemetery. Services under the direction of Primrose Funeral Service, Norman, Oklahoma.
