Charlie was a native of Greenwood, MS and a longtime resident of Delhi, LA and member of Newton Baptist Church.
He was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict and was a retired diesel engine mechanic for Scott Tractor Company in Monroe, LA
Charlie is preceded in death by his parents, Ephrium Taylor and Willie Mae Mathias Taylor; two sons a stillborn and Charles Randall Taylor; and two sisters Margaret Ray Blakley and Juanita Moore.
He is survived by his loving wife Joan Taylor and a son Steven Ray Taylor both of Delhi; sister Marie Jones of Clinton, MS; a brother Earnest Allen Taylor of Tallulah, LA and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Twayne Hosea, Dwayne Hosea, James Hosea, Scott Hosea, Jimmy Blackmon and Ricky Blackmon.
Honorary pallbearers will be Wilie Hosea and David Gilbert
