Jo Ann Tidwell, age 71, of Tuscumbia, passed away Sunday, September 28, 2014 due to a sudden illness. She is preceded in death by her husband of forty nine years, Paul Tidwell. Both were natives of Colbert County, Alabama. Jo Ann is survived by her four daughters; Cheryl Tidwell of Tuscumbia, Christie Tidwell of Florence, AL, Tracie Davis of Virginia Beach, VA and Paula Erwin of Hatfield Pennsylvania; one son, Sean Tidwell of Tuscumbia, six grandchildren; Alton Brooks Jr., Eric Roden, Joshua Davis, Adam Davis, Zackary Erwin and Grace Erwin; great grandchildren, Abagail Brooks and Bryce Davis. There will be a private service for friends and close family. Mrs. Tidwell leaves behind a strong legacy of good values and incredible strength through adversity, which she demonstrated throughout her life. She was very much loved, respected and will be greatly missed. “Thank you to all of the staff of Shoals Hospital for taking wonderful care of our mother during this difficult time. Your kindness and care is greatly appreciated.”
