GEORGE RADEY

George S. Radey, 85, of Manitowoc Health Care Center, formerly of Reedsville Manor, passed away Wednesday, May 20, 1992 at the Manitowoc Health Care Center following a brief illness.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Maple Grove. Rev. Nicholas Johannes will officiate with burial in the parish cemetery.

He was born December 14, 1906 in Manitowoc County, son of the late John F. and Anna Kubale Radey. He married the former Helen Dugan on October 9, 1934. Mr. Radey farmed in the town of Franklin on the Radey Homestead and also worked at Brillion Iron Works until retiring in 1973. He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Maple Grove and he played in the Reedsville City Band for many years.

Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Darlene and Paul Shimek of Whitelaw, Diane and Joe Konitzer of Holland, Ohio; 8 grandchildren, Donna and Berry Emer of Cato, rose and Mark Lensmeyer of Whitelaw, Bill and Wendy Shimek of Reedsville, Andy and Denise Shimek of Whitelaw, Tony and Vicky Shimek of Reedsville, Patsy and Randy Schultz of Two Rivers, Judy and Gary Schuh of Manitowoc, Brenda Konitzer of South Carolina; 12 greatgrandchildren; five brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Stella Hill of Manitowoc, Archie Dugan of Manitowoc, Joe and Emma Dugan of Valders, Mike and Delores Dugan of Chandler, Ariz., Vic and Aggie Konop of Cato. He was preceded in death by his wife on September 12, 1977; a son, Donald in 1957, a granddaughter, four sisters and two brothers.

Friends may call at Wieting Funeral Home, Reedsville, 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. this Thursday and then on Friday at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of services.
Parish vigil will be held at 7:30 p.m. this evening at the funeral home.
