James Delvin Mitchell,Son of Francis J. and Thera Hanshaw Brown, was born June 25, 1927, in Wapello,Iowa, and departed this life May 31, 2003,in St. John's Regional Health Center in Springfield, Missouri. He was 75 years, 11 months, and 6 days of age. James was a WWll Navy Veteran and a member of Hillside Christian Church in Marshfield. He was a member of Conway AA club, past member of the frist Methodist Church and Lamplighter AA club in Houston, Texas. James also had belong to the Frist Methodist Church in Gallatin, Mo. He was preceded in death by: his birth parents, his adopted parents, N. H. and Thelma Mitchell, one brother, Roger Schlax. James is survived by: three daughters, Martha Wells and husband Claude of Marshfield, Mo., Laurie Barello and husband Pete of Port Arkansas, Tx., Michelle Sanders of Moore, Ok., eleven grandchildren, one sister Evelyn Dawson of Denver, Co., two brothers , Bob Brown and wife Eleanor of Mobile, Ala., Jack Wolfe and wife Pat of Gilmore, Mo., and one sister-in- law, Jean Schlax of Kansas City, ks.
