Joshua Kurt Morrison, 35, was born on June 11, 1979 to Kurt and Cindy Morrison in Downey, Idaho. He passed away on September 28, 2014 in Pocatello, Idaho due to complications with diabetes.

He is survived by his wife Ashley, and his daughters, Jerico Marie, 13, and Sierra Lynn, 10 in whom he adored and cherished. Joshua loved being a daddy more than anything on earth.

He took his role as big brother very seriously from an early age protecting and running interference for his beloved little sister, Jerico Jene, and his trouble prone baby brother, Jacob Dee.

Growing up as a military brat, Joshua called many places home including San Diego, CA, Virginia Beach, VA, Belle Chasse, LA, and Moyock, NC.

Joshua had a quick wit, an open and friendly demeanor and a huge heart. He has many people that consider him a friend and many more that wished they had. You could find him anywhere there was a karaoke system being set up and he learned quickly and he was not afraid to perform. Joshua was musically gifted. He could play nearly any instrument he picked up in a very short time. He excelled at the Saxophone.

Joshua loved riding motorcycles. He was an excellent wing man and road trip partner. He would glow when he had the opportunity to ride his dad’s bike knowing that very few others were even allowed to touch it. He took great pride in being patched with the POW/MIA awareness group. Under that gruff façade, beat a heart of gold always willing to lend a hand.

His antics are too many to list and range from painting the neighbor’s dog orange at seven years old to his most recent endeavors at making people smile and laugh.

Joshua will be missed badly by those that let him into their hearts. We trust his current adventure will be without the limiting ailments and pain he bravely endured in his life. If you wish to honor Joshua, please make a donation of any kind to the American Diabetes Association and/or join the families in ensuring his baby girls are well cared for.

Joshua has been cremated and is being escorted back to North Carolina/Virginia where he spent his most memorable and remarkable years.

The outpouring of support from his friends and many acquaintances has been overwhelming and much appreciated.
