IrmaDel Williams, 83, went home to Jesus on a gorgeous fall day that almost did justice to her beautiful spirit. She died peacefully in her home in Brule, WI, surrounded by her family, on Friday, September 26. She will be dearly missed.

IrmaDel was born March 16th, 1931 in Superior, WI, to Oren and Anna (Fair) Harmon. She met Andy Williams, the love of her life, when she was 14 years old. They married at the Christian Missionary Alliance Church in Superior on September 30th, 1950. IrmaDel and Andy moved their growing family to California for a time, but returned to Poplar, WI in 1964 to raise their three children in a more wholesome area. Their home was always brimming with friends, family, laughter, and an assortment of mouth-watering goodies. They threw themselves into the life of Mission Covenant Church, where IrmaDel taught Sunday School, played the piano and organ, and genuinely loved people. She was so loved and had a knack for making others feel loved and important as well.

IrmaDel will be dearly missed by her husband, Andrew Williams; her three children, Larry (Gail) Williams of Highlands Ranch, CO, Dave (Misel) Williams of Poplar, WI, and Deanna (Mike) Sims of Brule, WI; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two brothers who still doted on her, and a whole host of brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews whose lives she graced. She is also lovingly remembered by her friends and those to whom she was “Ma” or “Grandma,” names well-earned by love, if not blood.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers Robert and Richard Harmon.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, September 30, 2014 (her 64th wedding anniversary) at the Mission Covenant Church in Poplar, WI with Pastor Darrell Nelson officiating.

Obituary written by Gloria Williams.

Note: Regarding the proper spelling of Irma Del's name: I spoke to my cousin, her eldest son Larry, and inquired about how to correctly spell her name. He shared with me that her given first name was IrmaDel, but it had been recorded as Irma Del. So both ways are correct and for "easy search" purposes I entered her name as Irma Del since most people knew her by that spelling.
