Martha Mae Lunsford Lamb, 93, of Athens, passed away on Friday, Sept. 26, 2014, at Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga.
A native and lifelong resident of McMinn County, she was a daughter of the late Hugh and Myrtle Moses Lunsford, and was also preceded in death by her husband, James M. Lamb; son, Darrell Lamb; sisters, Ruby Moore, Cora Stephens, and Emma Graves; and a brother, Hobert Lunsford.
She was of the Holiness faith, was a devoted, loving mother and grandmother, and will be greatly missed by her family.
Left behind to cherish her memories are three sons and two daughters-in-law, Jim and Gail Lamb of Athens, Rick and Cathy Lamb of Athens, and Mark Lamb of Athens; one daughter and son-in-law, Pam and Tim Thurman of Athens; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 8 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Ziegler Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerry Stephens officiating.
Burial will be 11 a.m. Tuesday in Sullins Cemetery.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
