Forrest Eugene "Gene" Hood of Tullahoma, passed this life on Saturday, September 27th, 2014 at Harton Regional Medical Center at the age of 91. Mr. Hood was born in Indianola, Illinois to the late Edward and Nora Martin Hood. He served his country in the United States Army during World War II and went on to be a Scientific Glass Blower at A.R.O. Mr. Hood was a member of the Staggerwing Museum and was a precision optician, a private pilot, and one of the founders of Ragwing Aircraft. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Marion Montgomery Hood; six brothers, Les,Len, Robert, George, Charles, and Paul and three sisters, Edith, Elva, and Nadine.
He is survived by one son and his wife of VA, another son and his wife of Tullahoma, one daughter and her husband of Ga, and one daughter of Tullahoma, seven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be on October 1st, 2014 in the Kilgore Funeral Home Chapel. Burial with military honors will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.
