Mary Kathryn (Boesch) Kovach, 71, died at 3:05 AM Thursday, Jan. 20, 1994, in Lafayette Home Hospital, after an illness since May. Born July 3, 1922, near Fort Wayne, she moved to Lafayette from Linden in 1981. Her first marriage was in 1941, in Lafayette, to Frederick Burkle; they divorced. She then married Peter Kovach in 1947, in Brighton, MI; he died July 22, 1985.
Mrs. Kovach graduated from Montmorenci High School in 1940. She worked in food production at General Foods Co., retiring in 1984. She also was a former cook at the Linden School and at the Linden Tavern. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and the Eagles Auxiliary.
Surviving are a son, Steve Burkle of Linden; a daughter, Stella Miles of Lafayette; a stepson, Ron Kovach of New Richmond; a stepdaughter, Peggy Kovach of Carmel; and a sister, Ida Bair of Brighton, MI.
