Abe Monteleone of San Bernardino, born in Meadville, Pennsylvania, lived in San Bernardino for 22 years, died Saturday in Fontana at the age of 54. he was a foreman for Kaiser Plate Fabrication for 21 years and a member of the International Brotherhood of Boilermakers, Iron Ship Builders, Blacksmiths, Forgers and Helpers Local No. 92 and also a member of the American Legion Post No. 777. He was survived by his wife, Mildred Marie, two sons, Thomas Allan and Jeffrey Lawrence, both of San Bernardino, a daughter, Marsha Ann O'Day of Highland, four sisters, Jane Coppola, Mary Palmiero, Joan Randazzo and Sanna Creamenose, all of Meadville, and four grandchildren. Graveside services are scheduled for 11 a.m. on Thursday in Montecito Memorial Park with Bobbitt Memorial Chapel in charge of the arrangements.

He married Mildred Marie Smith and they lived on Modestro Drive in San Bernardino. He was a foremane at Kaiser Plate Fabrication in the steelmaking industry for 21 years and died at Kaiser Foundation Hospital on January 27, 1979 from pneumonia and heart problems. Bobbitt Memorial Chapel Inc. handled the funeral arrangements with burial in Montecito Memorial Park.
