Christopher B. Olson, son of Ole B. Olsen and Bertha Olsdatter, both from Hordaland County, Norway, was born in Clinton County, Iowa on February 7, 1865 and passed at his home in Creston, Iowa on July 12, 1949.

On March 20, 1889, he was united in marriage to Josephine D. Faltinson near Conroy, Iowa County, Iowa. Together they had 8 children, two dying in early life from Diphtheria. Those surviving are four sons, Oscar J. of Billings, Montana, Floyd B. of Phoenix, Arizona, Carl E. of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Arnold C. of Alhambra, California. Two daughters, Mrs. Josephine Morgan of Roachdale, Indiana and Mrs. Lorine Willoughby of Glendale, California.

Mrs. Josephine Olson passed away on August 30, 1925. On November 16, 1926, he married Harriette M. Tibbals who survived him. In 1938, he moved to Creston where he had lived until the time of his death.
Burial was near Conroy, Iowa.

Christopher was a farmer most of his life and a house painter during retirement and worked in that profession until his 80th birthday.
