Carole Ann Holland, 67, of Montrose, IA died Sunday, march 18, 2007 at the Montrose Health Center in Montrose, IA.
She was born on February 7, 1940, in Keokuk, IA, the daughter of Harland and Garnet Richey Holland.
She graduated from the Argyle High School in Argyle, IA with the Class of 1958.
She had been employed at the Ft. madison Nursing Care Center in Ft. Madison, IA for twenty-eight years, retiring in 1995.
She was a member of the Montrose Presbyterian Church in Montrose, IA.
She enjoyed gardening and taking long car rides with her family. She was known for her baking, escpecially her cinnamon rolls, decorated cakes and the hundreds of dozens of cookies that she would share with her friends.
She is survived by her daughter, Tami Herr and her husband, Randy of Mt. Pleasant, IA, two grandsons, Ryan and Kody Herr and one granddaughter, Keri Herr all of Mt. Pleasant, IA, two sisters, Judy Brisby and her husband Gene and Mary Hemmie all of Montrose, IA, one brother, Mark Holland and his wife Barb of Montrose, IA, and many nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one grandson, Kyhl Herr and a brother-in-law, Wayne Hemmie.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., Wednesday at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk, IA with Dr. James Eads officiating. Burial was in the Montrose Cemetery in Montrose, IA.
