CLEARFIELD - Thomas Harold Allen, 70, passed away Thursday, February 23, 1995, at Rocky Mountain Care Center, Clearfield, following a stroke.

He was born March 4, 1917 in Blind Springs (Tremonton), Utah, a son of Joseph Archie and Emma (Cecilia) Evans Allen.

He married ViEtta Layton, November 9, 1945 in Clearfield, Utah.

He was raised in Layton, and graduated from Davis High in 1936. He had lived in Clearfield since his marriage.

He was a veteran of World War ll serving in the US Army.

He had worked as a motor vehicle lnspector and Mechanic and retired from HAFB, Utah in 1971 after 30 years of service.

He was a member of the LDS Church.

He enjoyed bowling, golfing, camping, fishing, gardening and working in his garage. He loved his family and enjoyed all family activities. He was a great friend and neighbor to all and
will be missed greatly.

He was a member of the Eagles, Oqden Aerie #2472.

He raised his oldest grandchild, Stephanie.

Surviving are his wife ViEtta, Clearfield; three daughters, Judy (Alan) Porter, Brigham City, Ut.; Diane Westenskow, Ogden, Ut.; Jane (Wilkes) Walker, Layton, Ut.; five grandchildren, Stephanie (Kelly) Martinez, Steve (Letha) Porter, Ryan Porter, Kelli Jo Keysar, Kyle Keysar and one great-grandson, Mason Martinez.

Also surviving are two brothers; Vaughn E. Allen, Max E. Allen, both of Ogden, Ut.; four sisters, Alene Furniss, Ogden, Ut.; Bea Freckleton, Bountiful, Ut.; Marie Love, Layton, Ut.; Luween Brooks, Bountiful, Ut.; sisters-in-law, Cleone Allen, Layton, Ut.; LaVeda Allen, Ogden, Ut.

The family would like to express a special thanks to the Staff at Rocky Mountain Care Center for their kind and attentive care.

Funeral services will be held Monday, February 27, 1995, 11 a.m. At Lindquist's Layton Mortuary, 1074 N. Fairfield Rd., where family and friends may call Sunday from 6-8 p.m. and Monday, from 10:00-10:45 a.m.

Interment, Kaysville City Cemetery.
