Funeral services for Daniel H. Bagwell, 75, of Columbia, will be held at 11am Tuesday in the Chapel of the Mausoleum of Greenlawn Memorial Park with entombment to follow. Mr. Bagwell died Saturday, July 28, 2001.

Born in Greenville, he was a son of the late Oscar H. and Lillian Henderson Bagwell. Formerly of Greenville, he has been a local resident since 1966.

He was retired as a civil engineer with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

He was a former deacon and Sunday School Superintendent with the New Hope Baptist Church of Greenville and Landmark Baptist Church in Columbia.

He was a lay minister and a poll manager with S.C. Election Commission.

The family invites friends to visit at the residence. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society or the Building Fund of Grace Baptist Church.

Survivors are his wife, Sarah Agnes Green Bagwell; sons, the Rev. Michael L. Bagwell of Cumming, Ga., and Stephen J. Bagwell of Hopkins; daughters, Bonnie Lynn Bagwell and Lesa Ann Blackmon, both of Columbia; a brother, Carl H. Bagwell and a sister, Christine Bagwell Thompson, both of Greenville; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Greenlawn Memorial Park and Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
