Benjamin F Tamplin was botn in Georgia Jan 26, 1818 to John and Olive Sims Tamplin.

Benjamin married Elizabeth who was also born in Georgia. As an adult, he moved his young family from Georgia to settle near his parents, brothers and sisters in newly opened Creek Territory that is now the town of Loachapoka, Alabama.

Children of Benjamin and Elizabeth were:

Sara Jane Tamplin, b abt 1842, d about 1860
James H Tamplin birth & death unkown
John L Tamplin, b 15 Sep 1846 AL d 16 Apr 1913 m. Alice Moore

He died September 23, 1857 in Loachapoka, Macon (now Lee) County, Alabama and is buried in the Tamplin Family Cemetery located on private property near Loachapoka, AL. The family of Benjamin's son, John L and Alice Tamplin stayed in the Loachapoka, area for many years and descendants were still nearby in 1987.
