Daniel F. M. MUSSELMAN was the son of John MUSSELMAN and Keziah ODELL.
Daniel F. M. MUSSELMAN enlisted as a Private on 01 Jul 1861 at the age of 21 years. He served with Company F, 6th Infantry Regiment Iowa. Later transfered to Company B of the same regiment. He was promoted to full corporal on 01 Jan 1864. Killed on 38 Jul 1864 in the Battle of Atlanta. He was buried in the Marietta National Cemetery in downtown Marietta, Georgia.
Daniel had married Barbara E. GLENN on 22 Apr 1864 in Clarke County, Iowa. They had no children.
After Daniel's death, Barbara married his brother, Samuel G. MUSSELMAN.
