Preceded in death by parents, first wife, Helen Matthews, and stepsister, Mrs. Ada Anderson. Survived by second wife, former Alma D. Deutsch and stepsons: Bill MacCurdy, and wife, Veronica, Pittsburgh, and Joseph MacCurdy, and wife, Beatrice, Gallion, Ohio. Retired from purchasing department of Penelec. Member of Johnstown Lodge 538, F. & A.M.; Portage Royal Arch Chapter 195; Cambria Council 32, Pittsburgh Consistory; Jaffa Temple; and Oriental Commandry 61 Knights Templar. Veteran of World War I. Also member of Post 294 American Legion; Phi Mu Delta, and Johnstown Lion’s Club. Friends received from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at The Picking-Treece-Bennett Mortuary, Inc., where service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday, the Rev. Dr. Robert L. Gordon. Interment, Grandview Cemetery. Masonic service at 7:30 p.m. Thursday.
