Loretta Marie (Lindblade) Allen, 81, died on September 20, 2014 at the home of her daughter in Houston, Texas, under the care of hospice, after a short illness. She was born on November 20, 1932, in Lindsborg, Kansas to Geraldine L.V. Larson and Leroy G. Lindblad, known as Lindblade. She was raised in Lindsborg and Wichita, Kansas. She graduated from East High School in Wichita. She married Archie Willard Allen, Jr. (Will), on September 28, 1950, and had two children, a son and a daughter. In 1966, the family moved to the Overland Park area where she lived until 2007. At that time, she moved to Houston, Texas, to live closer to her daughter. She worked in the Kansas City, Missouri office of the Social Security Agency until 1987 when she retired. She was preceded in death by husband, Will, and son, Richard. She is survived by her daughter, her daughter-in-law, three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Memorial service: September 25, 2014 at Christ the Servant Lutheran Church in Houston. Interment service: 12:30 p.m. September 30, 2014 at Leavenworth National Cemetery. Arrangements: McGilley & Hoge, 8024 Santa Fe Drive, Overland Park, Kansas.
